Variety description

The plant belongs to the Acanthaceae family and is a compact variety 15–30 cm in height. A distinctive feature is the dark green leaves with a clear white pattern of veins, the intensity of which may vary.

At the genetic level, the variety exhibits a mutation causing a premature stop codon in the anthocyanidin synthase gene, which blocks the production of red pigments and gives the veins their white color. Due to requirements for high air humidity, stable temperature, and sensitivity to drafts, the plant is often placed in paludariums or "bottle gardens."
