The name White Marble is not a registered botanical variety of Fittonia and is used as a marketing designation for plants of the Argyroneura group. The morphological characteristics of such Fittonia correspond to the typical traits of the species Fittonia albivenis.

The plant belongs to low-growing groundcover species, reaching a height of 10–20 cm. The leaves are oval-shaped and covered with a network of contrasting white veins. Fittonia is used as an ornamental-foliage houseplant, suitable for cultivation in terrariums and bottle gardens.
