The Zalm Star variety (synonym SCHOENFITT 29) is a densely branched plant reaching a height of 15–30 cm. The leaf blades, 3–4 cm long, have an elliptical or oval shape, sometimes with wavy edges.

The plant is intended for interior landscaping and terrariums. It prefers bright diffused light or partial shade, high air humidity, and regular watering without water stagnation in the substrate.
