The variety is a groundcover plant 10 to 15 cm in height. Like other members of the species, it possesses a characteristic pattern on the leaf blades formed by contrasting veins.

The plant is used in indoor floriculture and is suitable for growing in terrariums, vivariums, and as part of container compositions. The variety is demanding regarding the watering regime and air humidity levels.
