The variety is mid-season and is an established regional variety line. The plant forms compact, well-closed white bulbs with intense green foliage. The leaf sheaths are characterized by their thickness and fleshy, crunchy structure.

The plant is sensitive to extreme temperatures, which can induce early bolting, therefore requiring regular watering and hilling to obtain a high-quality harvest. The produce is used for fresh consumption, as well as in boiled and baked forms.
