The plant is vigorous and highly hardy with upright, stiff peduncles. Depending on growing conditions, it is described as a mid-early or late variety, with productivity varying from high to low.
Fruits are roundish or blunt-conical in shape, white in color, sometimes with a slight blush. The flesh is tender, soft, sweet, with a pronounced pineapple flavor.
Historically, the variety was used in private gardens and small-scale farms, as well as a pollinator for pistillate varieties in several regions of the USA in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
