The Aurea variety is part of the Iguazú Savour breeding collection (Esenzia family). The plant has vigorous development, high adaptability, and endurance, which allows it to be used in intensive cultivation systems, including hydroponics.
Fruiting of the variety is characterized by stability throughout the entire cycle without sharp yield peaks, which facilitates harvest planning. The fruits are distinguished by a bright color, gloss, sugar content above 8 Brix, as well as high keeping quality and the ability to maintain marketability during transport.
The variety has high resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to powdery mildew and gray mold (Botrytis), which helps to reduce the need for phytosanitary treatment.
