The variety «Buba» was developed within the framework of the national breeding program in Israel. It is known in scientific literature as an object of genetic research aimed at studying the mechanisms of inheritance of resistance to powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca macularis).
In comparative trials conducted under hydroponic conditions, the variety was used as a reference object for comparison with other lines. Detailed agronomic descriptions of the morphological traits of the plant or fruits are absent in open publications.
