The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program aimed at adapting plants to mild winters and clay soils with high lime content. Parental forms from the USA, Italy, and France were used in the breeding.

The main distinctive feature of the variety is its resistance to chlorosis caused by an excess of lime in the soil. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as bush height or yield indicators, are absent in open publications.
