The plant reaches a height of 10–15 cm. The flowers have a bell shape, bright yellow color, and may contain inclusions in the form of spots or veins, creating a checkered pattern. The perianth segments are narrow and may curl outwards.

The variety blooms in early spring, usually during the period from April to May. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations with well-drained, humus-rich, and moderately moist soils, requiring high-quality drainage to prevent bulb rot.
