The plant forms a dense cushion-like shape approximately 0.2 m in height and up to 0.3 m in width. The foliage is gray-green, rounded, and deeply lobed. The flowers are cup-shaped, bright pink or crimson in hue, featuring a light center, dark veins, and a pronounced dark eye.

Flowering continues from late spring until autumn. The variety is frost-hardy, exhibits drought tolerance after establishment, and is resistant to damage by slugs and rabbits. The plant prefers well-drained soils and sunny areas or light partial shade.
