Variety description

The plant has deeply dissected five-lobed mid-green leaves, which may acquire a reddish hue by autumn. The flowers are cup-shaped, 4–5 cm in diameter, cobalt-blue or violet-blue in color with purple-pink veins and a bright white center; as they fade, the petals may turn pink.
The variety is winter-hardy and forms dense clumps suitable for use in borders, rock gardens, and containers. The plant prefers fertile, well-drained soils and attracts pollinators.
