Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a natural mutation of the Buxton's Variety cultivar. The plant forms compact clumps with stems that can be upright or spreading. The leaves are rounded, divided into 3–5 lobes, green in color, and acquire a reddish tint in autumn.

Flowers with a diameter of about 4.5 cm have prominent veins. Flowering begins in June and continues until September-October. The variety does not produce viable seeds.

The plant is resistant to deer damage and major diseases, however, root rot or leaf spot may occur in cases of waterlogging. It is used in landscape design for mixed borders, rock gardens, and container cultivation, and can also serve as a ground cover plant.
