Astarte gladiolus belongs to the group of large-flowered varieties. The flowers have a dark purple color with a lilac tint; the petals are velvety, often with ruffled edges. The flower diameter is from 9.5 to 15 cm; from 9 to 16 buds are formed on a sturdy flower stalk.
Plant height varies from 90 to 130 cm. The variety blooms in the summer period from July to August. It is characterized as low-maintenance and disease-resistant, distinguished by sturdy flower stalks that do not droop, and high decorative value when cut, maintaining freshness for up to 20 days.
