Gladiolus «Cassis» is a large-flowered ruffled variety. The plant height varies from 90 to 130 cm. The flowers are 10–12 cm in size, have a velvety texture, a bright red color, and a characteristic white vein in the middle. The inflorescence length reaches 60 cm, the foliage is sword-shaped and emerald-colored.
The variety blooms from July to September. The plant is photophilous, requires protection from wind, and needs mandatory digging for the winter, as it corresponds to USDA hardiness zone 10. Group planting of 5 bulbs or more is recommended to increase resistance to lodging.
