The variety's flowers have a saturated dark red, sometimes red-violet or burgundy-plum color with a velvety texture and wavy petal edges. The flower diameter varies from 10 to 15 cm. On the tall flower stalk is an inflorescence 40–50 cm long, bearing 10–12 flowers.
The height of the mature plant is 100–130 cm. Flowering occurs in the period from July to September. The variety is used for group plantings, landscaping of residential areas, and floristry.
The plant prefers sunny, wind-protected areas with well-drained soil. In regions with cold climates, the bulbs require annual lifting and storage until the next season.
