The variety is a tall plant reaching about 110 cm in height. It possesses upright flower stalks and sword-shaped dark green leaves. The flowers are medium blue-violet in color, corresponding to RHS code N087A.

The plant is used primarily as a cut flower crop for floristry and as an ornamental perennial. The variety requires cultivation in sunny areas with well-drained soil and needs staking due to the risk of stem damage from wind.
