The variety belongs to the large-flowered gladiolus group. The flowers are funnel-shaped, bright red in color, sometimes with a velvety sheen, a dark shade in the throat, or white streaks. The petals are often wavy or ruffled at the edges, flower diameter ranges from 10 to 15 cm, in rare cases up to 18 cm.
The plant reaches a height of 100–140 cm. The inflorescence is spike-shaped, dense, consisting of 12–22 flowers. The variety is mid-early, blooming from July to September. The plant requires staking in open areas, and the corms need to be dug up annually for the winter.
The variety is used for designing flower beds, floral borders, and mixed borders, and is also well-suited for cutting. Cultivation on drained and fertile soils without water stagnation is recommended.
