The variety belongs to the large-flowered gladiolus type, although in a number of classifications it may be referred to as small-flowered. The buds have a creamy shade at the initial stage; upon full blooming, the main color becomes white, and a distinct crimson, burgundy, or terracotta streak runs along the midrib of the lower petals.
Plant height is 90–120 cm, foliage grows up to 60–80 cm. The spike-shaped inflorescence includes from 17 to 25 flowers measuring 10–15 cm. The variety is not winter-hardy; corms must be dug up for the winter. Stems require support or hilling to prevent lodging.
The plant is intended for decorating flower beds, group plantings, and for cut flowers. Prefers well-drained, fertile soils and sunny areas; sensitive to fresh organic matter.
