Variety description

The plant forms cane-like leafy stems. The leaves have a characteristic reddish tint on the underside. Inflorescences are drooping, equipped with dark pink or ruby-red bracts and bracteoles; the flowers themselves are small, yellow in color.
Vegetation begins in April–May, the flowering period lasts from July to November, after which the aboveground part dies off. The crop is not frost-hardy and requires night temperatures not lower than 18.3°C for normal development. Used as a potted plant, for landscaping shaded areas, and for cut flowers.
