The variety belongs to the early-maturing group with a sum of active temperatures of 2350 CHU. The plant is short, semi-erect, with grey pubescence of the main stem.

Seeds contain about 41% protein and 19% oil. The variety possesses relative resistance to Fusarium root rot. It is used in regions with short vegetation periods and as a stubble crop.

In some regions, the variety is known under the trade name «Танаис».
