The variety C 500, also known by the abbreviated designation C 500, is a breeding line of cotton of the species Gossypium hirsutum L. Its origin is linked to the crossing of the parent forms Coker 310 and Tamcot 788A.

This variety appears in archival reports on agronomic trials from the 1980s conducted in regions of the USA. During the studies, quality indicators such as yield, fiber length and strength, and the micronaire value were evaluated. At present, the variety is considered historic or withdrawn from commercial use.
