The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Coker 100 Staple and Deltapine 15. The plant is characterized by a balanced open growth type, shorter internodes and denser fruiting compared to the Coker 310 variety.

The cotton has good resistance to Fusarium wilt and moderate resistance to Verticillium wilt. The variety is distinguished by high boll resistance to weather conditions, which allows it to be grown in rainy regions.
