The DP 428 B variety belongs to the species Gossypium hirsutum L. and contains genetic inserts to provide resistance to a number of insect pests. The pedigree of the variety is based on the genetic material of the DP 51 line (DP 51*3 / Donor BG).
In field trials, the variety demonstrated tolerance to thrips damage in the early growing period and was classified as mid-maturing. The variety does not possess pronounced resistance to nematodes. During its period of active cultivation in the USA, the variety was used as a reference for evaluating fiber yield indicators.
