The cotton variety Aida was obtained as a result of breeding work at the Field Crops Institute in the city of Chirpan. The plant possesses stable seed productivity and high fiber characteristics suitable for use in the textile industry.
The breeding direction within the program to which the variety belongs is focused on developing early-maturing, highly productive varieties with improved fiber quality indicators.
