The cotton variety Aksel possesses long fiber. Its structure is classified as coarse with very high fiber quality.

This variety is included in yield research under Mediterranean conditions and also undergoes trials for tolerance to stress factors, in particular, moisture deficit. It is also used as material for studying the physical and chemical properties of textile fibers.
