The variety was selected from germplasm imported from Mali and is used in scientific research as a standard for evaluating other genotypes. It is focused on quality fiber production and demonstrates the ability for early maturity and the formation of large bolls.
The fiber quality of the variety is characterized by a micronaire of approximately 3.67, a fiber length of approximately 31.12 mm, and a strength of approximately 31.42 g/tex. During field trials, the variety showed high yield, exceeding the Deltapine-90 standard, however, its high susceptibility to the cotton flea beetle was noted.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
