The variety is mid-early and forms tall plants with a deep root system and strong pubescent leaves. It is characterized by good opening of medium-sized bolls even in conditions of prolonged rain. The variety possesses resistance to verticillium wilt.

Produce of the Irida variety is distinguished by a high fiber turnout, amounting to about 43%. Fiber length reaches 31.0 mm with a strength of 32.0 g/tex. The micronaire value is 4.3, and fiber uniformity is 86.2%.
