ActiveGossypium L. · Cotton
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) and was actively used for introduction into Central Asia, where it replaced local low-yielding varieties of the species G. herbaceum. It served as a genetic basis for the formation of a number of local variety-populations.
Distinctive characteristics of the variety were early maturity, high yield, and improved fiber quality compared to the species traditional for that period. The plant successfully underwent acclimatization in new climatic conditions.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
