The variety is a decorative hybrid obtained by crossing Guzmania lingulata and Guzmania wittmackii. The plant forms a basal rosette of shiny dark green linear leaves. The total plant height varies from 30 to 65 cm.
The peduncle bears a large spicate inflorescence 10–15 cm long with bright bracts. The flowering period is from 8 to 12 weeks, after which the mother plant forms daughter offsets. The variety is characterized by long-lasting retention of inflorescence decorativeness and resistance during transport.
The plant is thermophilic, requiring a temperature of 15–25°C, moderate watering, and the use of a well-drained substrate. With proper care, which excludes water stagnation in the roots and rosette, the variety is not susceptible to diseases.
