The hybrid is aimed at obtaining a high yield of grain and oil. The oil content in seeds is about 49–51% depending on growing conditions. Grain yield in field trials varied from 1.6 to 4.6 t/ha.
Drought tolerance is provided by features of leaf surface development, including the LAI index and prolonged functional activity of leaves of the "stay green" type. The hybrid also possesses high tolerance to major sunflower disease pathogens.
