The plant's foliage has purple-brown or almost black tones and is distinguished by a pronounced ruffled texture. Small white flowers are gathered in panicle inflorescences, rising above the bush. The leaf rosette reaches a height of 20–30 cm; the total height with flower stalks is about 30–45 cm.

The plant forms a compact shape and is adapted to USDA hardiness zones 4–9. The variety is suitable for cultivation in both sun and partial shade and prefers well-drained soils. It requires moderate watering and is sensitive to waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
