Variety description

The plant forms a dense bush 20–30 cm high (up to 50 cm with flower stalks) and 35–45 cm wide. Young leaves are bright carmine, mature ones are dark red-violet with a pronounced fuchsia-red shade on the underside. In June–July, thin dark red flower stalks appear with paniculate inflorescences of cream-white flowers.
The variety has a hardiness zone from 4a to 8b (down to -34°C). It is used in landscape design for borders, container gardening, and contrasting compositions in shady or semi-shady places.
