Variety description

The plant forms a neat bush 25–30 cm high and up to 35–40 cm wide. The leaves retain a dark purple-black shade throughout the season. From June to July, the variety produces panicle inflorescences with small pink or white flowers, but is characterized by restrained flowering.

The variety prefers partial shade or shade and moist, well-drained soils with a neutral or acidic reaction. The plant has high winter hardiness (USDA zones 4–9) and resistance to heat and high humidity.
