The variety's flowers are distinguished by a rich cherry-red shade with a silky sheen and a dark, almost coal-black throat. 3 to 5 large flowers develop on one hollow peduncle.

The plant is used as an ornamental pot crop and is also suitable for cut flower production. The variety is perennial, requires good lighting, moderate watering, and a dormant period after flowering ends.
