The flowers of the variety have a deep red color with purple shades and a softer glow in the center. In a number of descriptions, the color is characterized as salmon-red with an increase in color intensity closer to the throat.

The plant is used as a decorative crop for growing in containers, in the garden in a suitable climate, and also as a cut flower crop.
