The variety is a hybrid cultivar, in the origin of which the participation of the species Hippeastrum papilio is assumed. According to some collectors, the second parent plant could be the variety Red Lion.

The plant is distinguished by large flowers reaching 23 cm in diameter. Its appearance is often described as a large red Hippeastrum papilio. Official agronomic data on the variety are absent in professional literature; information is based primarily on amateur sources.
