The shrub is characterized by upright, compact growth with a spreading crown and dense foliage. The mature plant reaches a height of 3 to 5 meters. The leaves are lanceolate, dark green, and relatively wide. The shoots are sparsely thorny, which distinguishes this variety from many other male forms.
The variety belongs to the very early flowering group, beginning the process in March depending on climatic conditions. The plant is noted for high winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -30°C. The variety is resistant to diseases, undemanding to soil conditions, and tolerates urban environments and air pollution well.
