The variety was created by hybridization followed by individual selection. It belongs to the two-row barley type of intensive use, intended for grain production and the needs of the brewing industry.

The plant possesses high resistance to lodging and drought conditions. The variety is characterized by high resistance to powdery mildew, Helminthosporium leaf blight, and leaf rust. Recommended for cultivation in the Polesia and Steppe zones.
