The variety belongs to the historical varieties of winter six-row barley created within the breeding program of the Agricultural Institute in Osijek. In the period after 1973, it was actively used in the agricultural production of the region.
The purpose of this variety was industrial malting production. The variety was adapted to local growing conditions, however, in modern publications it is mentioned primarily in the historical context of the development of cereal crop breeding.
