A variety of spring two-row barley, obtained by crossing the Chariot and Alexis varieties. It is an object of study in breeding programs and is often used as a standard in comparative field trials for analyzing grain quality and resistance to diseases, in particular Ramularialeaf spot.
The variety is included in a number of European barley collections and was intended for commercial cultivation. Detailed quantitative indicators of agronomic traits, such as precise plant height or maturity dates, are not presented in publicly available publications.
