The barley variety Amalika is a spring two-row variety obtained from the cross of Waggon and Imidis lines. The plant habit is described as intermediate or semi-prostrate.
Morphological features of the ear include lax density, medium or long length, and a parallel shape. The variety is included in the official descriptive lists of agricultural crops of Denmark.
