The variety belongs to the six-row (polistico) hulless (nudo) type of barley and was obtained as a result of breeding from a combination of the lines GSO87 and 6789. The plants have medium height and are classified as late-maturing in terms of heading time.
The variety possesses resistance to powdery mildew, yellow mosaic, septoria, rhynchosporium, and lodging. Quality indicators include a protein content of 11–13%, a thousand kernel weight of 36–38 g, and a test weight of 72–76 kg/hl.
