The variety belongs to the malting barley group. During the early 2000s, it underwent comparative trials and was included in the British Recommended Lists for spring barley in 2009.
The variety was used as an object in scientific research dedicated to studying the mechanisms of induced plant defense against leaf diseases, as well as in the context of monitoring fungal pathogens, particularly Ramularia collo-cygni.
Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, such as stem height or ear shape, are not described in available publications. The variety is considered obsolete and is not currently widely used in production.
