The variety is a two-row spring barley adapted for the needs of organic agriculture. Its breeding is aimed at combining suitability for brewing with field resistance to diseases such as net blotch and leaf rust.

Technological characteristics of the variety include specific grain properties suitable for malt production and whisky making in copper pot stills, in particular, providing low extract viscosity.
