The Cenad group varieties, including numbers such as 375, 395, 396 and 345, were bred in Romania based on local populations such as Banat. They are unrelated to modern breeding programs of the company Poznańska Hodowla Roślin.
These barley forms are represented by winter six-row or spring two-row varieties. Currently, they are maintained primarily in gene banks and are used for scientific purposes for genetic research and the maintenance of biodiversity, without being used in modern industrial agriculture.
