The Graciosa variety belongs to the common barley crop. During trials in Slovakia, the variety was classified as non-malting, intended for feed purposes.

The variety is characterized by susceptibility to Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV). Additionally, 2008 variety trial reports recorded plant susceptibility to leaf blotch.
