The variety was obtained by the classical pedigree breeding method based on a combination of Burkhant, Dera, Steffi, Marthe and Madeleine. During the breeding process, selection was carried out under organic farming conditions with natural and artificial inoculation with the main species of smut and leaf stripe.
The plant belongs to the facultative barley group. The agronomic characteristics of the variety are aimed at intensive tillering and shading of the soil surface, which allows for effective suppression of weed vegetation without the use of herbicides.
The variety is intended for ecological crop production, in particular for the needs of organic brewing, taking into account the requirements for specialized varieties for this sector.
