The variety is a landrace selected and maintained in Sweden. In catalogs and genetic resource databases, such as NordGen, it is registered under the accession number NGB 9453.

The plant belongs to the two-row barley type. According to field trial results, the variety demonstrates low lodging resistance and a yield significantly lower than modern organic varieties.

The variety is not intended for industrial production and is maintained in gene banks for the preservation of biodiversity and cultural heritage, and is also used in niche organic farming.
