The spring barley variety Manta, which underwent testing under the code HE 7513, is a specialized malting variety. It provides high malting quality and is capable of maintaining a low level of nitrogenous substances in the grain even under unfavorable weather conditions, such as drought.
Morphologically, plants of this variety are characterized by medium height and medium-sized grain. The variety possesses medium resistance to lodging and is recommended for use in the production of traditional Czech beer.
